Tim Purchas has spent his post high school running and directing his own companies. Tim was a competitive tennis player throughout his teenage years in one of NZ's top performance academies, Hutt Valley Tennis Academy. Tim has competed at Premier 1 level interclub, Competed in Junior Professional tournaments on the ITF circuit, has won multiple tournaments around NZ, won a silver medal representing the Central Region at the 2016 Teams Event Nationals, and has competed internationally on a NZ tour at the Queensland and Rod Laver Championships in Australia.  

 

After leaving high school Tim entered into a partnership co-owning and directing Hutt Valley Tennis Academy with Performance Coach of the Year Marc Paulik. HVTA produced some of New Zealand's top ranked tennis players and was recognised nationally as a producer of top level competitive athletes. Tim also sat as Club Captain of the Avalon Tennis Club from 2019-2021.

 

Post Covid-19 Tim took over ownership of the company and rebranded to Total Tennis. Taking a different direction but maintaining the organisations most integral qualities, Tim grew Total Tennis as a wider and more inclusive tennis organisation. Within a year and a half Total Tennis was nominated as one of 4 finalists at the Wellington Regional Business Excellence Awards for Best Emerging Business, was partnered with 5 Tennis Clubs, 15 schools, multiple sites and centres, and was delivering tennis to thousands of people across the Wellington Region.

In October 2022 Tim Purchas founded Total Pursuit as a parent brand to his subsidiary streams of services - Total Tennis, Total Yoga, Total Fitness, Total Events.
